About the Taxonomic Groups

We have aggregated the stocks contained in the RAM Legacy Database into taxonomic groups. For each taxonomic group, there are various forms of summary data available, including: counts of assessed stocks in the taxonomic group; biomass coverage (range of years) of stocks in the taxonomic group; stock status summaries (mean relative biomass and mean relative exploitation rates); and summaries of surplus production for the dominant stocks within each taxonomic group. The taxonomic group summaries can be viewed on the webpage for each taxonomic group below, or downloaded as a single PDF file. For a glossary of all abbreviations used in plots, click here.
